1946 Dodge grille and wheels, so possibly a 1940s Dodge-based car, (rather nicely) home-built, by the look of it.

Thatīs what is the most obvious things to be seen at first sight, yes.

One point for anyone who can tell me who has built it in which year.

And  I want some proof, too.

Those photos have been made some years earlier for sure. My source claim them to have been shot in 1947.

So I just have to doubt the correctness of your answer.

This is the pro level, so I need some proof...

I even think it is not a Darrin design at all.

I've been looking my original source and can't find it, so far, but I agree about doesn't look like Dutch Darrin work. I'll keep searching.

I've found another picture tag as Dodge Sports Roadster 1946-48 or Postwar sports roadster wearing another 1946-8 Dodge grille

Iīm sure it has been no dodge in-house design - we will find out sooner or later...

Gene Dupertuis' (Atascadero, CA) homebuilt special. The body was mostly wood. 1940 Mercury frame, De Soto bumpers, Dodge grille.

I don't know when it was built, but it was photographed by Life magazine in 1947.

Indeed!
I was about the post the following as 'Dupertius' didn't show up on my search, although I was convinced I'd seen this car on here before...:
