Title: LOC #430 - Modeling the Chrysler C-200 Experimental / 1952
Post by: Otto Puzzell on March 02, 2013, 07:22:35 AM
For one point: What's he working on, and when?

Only a correct, complete and specific answer will earn a point; tag-on's to other guesses will not. So, be specific and complete!

To my eye, the front end styling is similar to the Virgil Exner/Ghia Chrysler show cars of the early 1950's such as the K-310 and C-200.

Follow that inkling - locked for you.

Well, my Ghia references didn't turn up this exact photo . . . but seeing as this clay styling model has no greenhouse, I'll say it's the convertible Chrysler C-200 rather than the coupe K-310. Probably about 1952, in the Chrysler styling studio before the actual construction work was farmed out to Ghia in Italy. No idea who the modeler is.

All of that seems to fit the photo the best - but we all know what THAT means here on AutoPuzzles, so it's probably all wrong!
