For one point: What is this, from where, and when?

Only a correct, complete and specific answer will earn a point; tag-on's to other guesses will not. So, be specific and complete!

 :lmao:

Got it. It's a Jowett 10hp from about 1937, imported to Australia in chassis form and bodied locally in tourer form. The photograph was taken in 1953 at Thornton Street, Surfers Paradise.

Great job Canary!!

I went through just about every high to mid volume British and American maker that sent cars to OZ and never even considered the Jowett marque.  I need to expand my horizons......

When I was a kid in the UK in the 50s many folks still drove around in pre-war cars of all sorts. They were still relatively commonplace into the 60s - I guessed it would be something a little bit "different" and went to images of Jowett tourers, and there it was.
