Looks like a Chrysler, Dodge or Plymouth engine, they were practically the same from the early 30's until the late 50's, but what is that two cylinder "air compressor????" for?

The image shows a flathead 6-cylinder engine from the Chrysler Corporation, built in about 1953.

The Chrysler connection was established earlier.

This installation was completed before 1953, and used within the US.
