ECV programm from BMC called ECV 3
Yes, it's the ECV 3 dating from 1982/3, although BMC had been long dead by then of course..
It was a joint project between British Leyland and Alcan Industries as it was bodied in aluminium, and it had an experimental 1600cc 3-cylinder engine.
It was only intended as an experimental car, and BL went on to produce their usual old rubbish instead of what might have been interesting and up-to-the-mintue. Who knows, the British motor industry might have even survived if anyone had actually had the foresight or courage to go ahead with cars like this!
