Founded in 1911 when Ferraguti, Viaud & C. (a company that, actually, I've not yet discovered what was doing) bought former Carrozzeria Belloni. The name comes from the intention to widen the market selling in south-America, even if there are not evidences that it was actually done and it was not just a way to attract investors.
The main production was for official Isotta-Fraschini bodyworks in 1912-1914, inherited by Belloni. Later it worked in the army sector during WWI. In 1918 changed the name in A.L.C.I.A. (Anonima Lombarda Costruzioni e Imprese Aeronautiche), trying to exploit the aeronautic experience gathered during wartime, but the business was not succesful, so the company came soon back to automotive and to the former name, but the postwar reconversion crisis forced it to close already in 1920.
