Solved - NEH 2393: Jaguar XK120 Ghia-Aigle (some sources say Antem) - 1950

I'm afraid you won't get any points for telling me this is a Jaguar XK120, but you will get a point if you can correctly tell me when, where and by whom it was built?

ANYONE FOUND GIVING ANSWERS GLEANED BY USING GOOGLE SEARCH BY IMAGE MAY BE BANNED FOR AN INDETERMINATE PERIOD!

Antem as far as I know.
The puzzle photo is on the Antem page on Coachbuild...

I think Ghia-Aigle did do one but it had a one-piece windscreen?

This car is listed as being by Ghia-Aigle in Roland Urban's book "Les Métamorphoses du Jaguar".
M. Urban is an expert on Jaguar and that source should normally be reliable.

The caption to the photo states that 'This is the first modification made by Ghia-Aigle to a Jaguar. It was converted in 1952 and eliminated the 'rain-drop' curve in the roof and improved the car's aerodynamics'
He also goes on to say that Ghia-Aigle transformed XK120 Roadsters into 2+2 Drophead Coupes.

You can also find the same picture on Stefan Dierkes' Ghia-Aigle site. There it is in a higher resolution where you can vaguely identify the Ghia-Aigle logo on the fender in front of the aeration lid.

I had listed the picture as Antem, but I don't remember from which site I copied it, a couple of years ago. Now, watching Ghia-Aigle site, I suppose that's the right coachbuilder.

Most of those sources are usually reliable!
I didn't actually get the picture from Coachbuild.com but saw it there when checking my facts before posting.
Will try to look into it.
