DB #0014 - Crosley-Fageol Flat 8
« on: January 07, 2013, 03:20:21 PM »
Here is an interesting powerplant.  This particular example has seen better days, and is missing various bits while in refurbishment.
What is it?  Where was it used?  What's it made from?  All three parts are necessary to obtain the point.

Its a rare Crosley-Fageol Flat eight, made from two inline four Crosley engines mated to an aluminium crankcase adapter.

They were originally made to use as a marine engine.

Dates from the late fifties.
