CG #88 - 1905 Renault 14 hp with Joseph Cockshoot coach work
« on: December 04, 2013, 02:02:00 AM »
Not as easy as it looks. For a point, what's the year, make, hp and the coach builder of this car?

Not a De Dion, and a fraction newer.

Not a Charron. You have to think a bit more obvious for the car make. The hp and coach builder will be a bit harder to find.

The most obvious would be a Renault.

It looks about the right size and build to be a 1909 50 h.p. BH.
The only one I can remember seeing has a body built in relatively recent times so I can't offer a coachbuilder's name.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Older than 1909. The hp stated on the original photograph is a lot smaller than 50hp.

I don't actually know what model it is. I'll have to find out, I only know the horsepower.

Yes, it's a 14hp. It's a bit older, and I think it's a Type X.

LOCKED for you to find the coach builder. I'll give you a couple of attempts, as I can't find a photo of this particular car on the internet.

Yes. I've since found a Renault with very similar coachwork, on the internet.
