Well that's the Wolseley Motor Sledge that went with Capt. Scott's last expedition to the Antarctic in 1910
Here it is in Antarctica, probably with Bernard Day at the controls:


ETA no it's not Antarctica as there are trees! Must be a test run in Scandinavia or perhaps the Southern Alps (NZ).

Exactly correct, I didn't think it would last long. I understand Wolseley did a lot of their testing in Norway, where I'd think the above photo was probably taken.
