What is this a design for, who was responsible for it and when was it drawn? A point if you know

This is as far as I can recall a design proposal for a Saab "of the future". A sporty gran turismo kind of model that obvious never made it into production. But the ressemblence with the 93 is clear. I think it was made by a american designer/artist and published in a swedish magazine. I really should nail this immediately ... but I have to check my archieves.

Well, you're on the right track so far. It's a Saab (of course) and it was drawn by an American designer. I'll lock this for 24hrs to see fi you can fill in the blanks.

Is that American Charles Pellys? This project should be from 1958 before He went to Designeworks in US.

Correct, it was indeed! The design had a specific purpose in mind, can you specify what it was? Locked for you of course

I have no clue about what the drawing was intended for. I can guess it should be a proposal for advertising the new Saab 93 in the States, but I actually don't know; so, please unlock if my guess is wrong.

Well, that's about it yes. It was a sketch for a more 'Americanised' Saab 93, an unofficial project drawn after Pellys saw and was impressed by the 93 in Sweden. A point for you.
