For one point, specify the year, make, and designer of this strange chassis.

The company and the designer were American.  The intended market was not.

Designed for use in a third world country?

An attempt at a "limited slip" differential?

Not a Third World country.  (Third World isn't a great geographic description.  A phrase created during the Cold War, does it apply to countries before WWII?)

Not a "limited slip" differential.  Designed to eliminate the weight of the then-current differential design.

What happens when you hit 1000?

I'm planning to celebrate it with an unusual group puzzle. Stay tuned!  :D
