Looks like a cross between a Fiat 127 and an Austin Allegro.

Must be from the Eastern Block.

It's a ZAZ, yes, but don't know that it's anything to do with the Tavria.

Here is the text I have found : "...ZAZ engineers had decided in the 1970s that a front-engined front-wheel-drive small hatchback was the way to go, but by 1987, when the new ZAZ 1102 (or Tavria) finally took its bow, the car was already falling behind its key competitors..."

Yes, 1102 it is.
So it is a prototype for the Tavria, which I didn't know; it doesn't look much like the eventual production car.
