5 Guys & 1 car. 4 of those guys were in the car biz; one was not.

For one point: Who is the non-car-guy, and where & when was this picture taken?

Only a correct, complete and specific answer will earn a point; tag-on's to other guesses will not. So, be specific and complete!

I cannot recognize no one among these men, but I made some thoughts: the '36 Airflow seems a new car (it has not a plate), and the men in black look like to be cars dealers. The first man on the left is younger and sportly dressed. Is perhaps he the man we have to discover? If yes, is He a baseball champion?

The guy on the left is the mystery man; he's not a baseball champion.

Is anyway in connection with any sport? If yes, is he a golfer?

OK, first I'll tell you who the "mystery man" is, then I'll tell you how I know.

The man in question is named Glenn Morris. He won the gold medal for the decathalon at the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936. He was a graduate of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. While I was in Fort Collins on business over a year ago, a friend of mine (and CSU grad) out there who shares my interests in history and automobiles showed me this picture, which is (I believe) part of their historical archives.  I had to contact him again and ask him for particulars about it, and I just this week heard back from him.

The picture was taken in 1936 at the auto dealership of Art Sheely in Fort Collins, Colorado, and the man on the far left is Glenn Morris. And if it didn't say all that on the back of the picture, I wouldn't have had a clue.

Amazing catch, fyreline! Is the man in the back on the passenger side Mr. Chrysler?

While I couldn't say with any real certainty, that gentleman doesn't seem to resemble photographs of Walter P. Chrysler from around 1936. As for the "amazing catch", it's more a matter of dumb luck and a good memory!
