Well guys, I respect and try to be respected. If my explanation is not good enough so to be considered full of crap.

Not Respected  - Not welcome - See you
Of course that's NOT a sufficient explanation! If you would follow Pal's suggestion you would have the chance to confirm, but what you replied says it all!

I'm afraid you beat me to say good bye!

You were respected and you were respectfully questioned.  Your "take my ball and go home" attitude is one of disrespect for the spirit of the site and what is going on here.  I am slapping a ban on you for violating the spirit of the site until such time as you contact me via email and explain to me as to why I am wrong for doing so.  Then, only if Otto and I agree, you will be re-instated.

going back to the puzzle. I am very much intrigued by band No8 the New Orleans Radiators aka The Radiators. There are plenty of setlists available online and I found a song, titled Chevy '39 which would tie with car D.

just curious, is car J related to something like "tow car"? Based on the number of the aircraft I found a picture describing the car as a "tow car"

Nothing about towing, but related to doing something above the Earth's surface.

B and C are specific as to the car mentioned. H is a bit more general, though the car pictured is specific to the use of a car, as mentioned in the song it is linked to.

To clarify, some of the songs do not have cars as their central theme, or their titles. In some cases, the use of a car is part of the song, though no brand or model is mentioned, as with car pictured in H, and with the previously identified "Hitchin' a Ride"

A thumb goes up, a car goes by
Oh, won't somebody stop and help a guy?
Hitchin' a ride, hitchin' a ride
Been away too long from my baby's side

Ride, ride, ride, hitchin' a ride
Ride, ride, ride, hitchin' a ride

Are #1 and #6 famous bands?

Otherwise I'd tend to say:

If yes I'd say it's car/song#C "Big Blue Plymouth" ('70 Plymouth Fury III Convertible).

Sorry, I missed this earlier.

#1 enjoyed more enduring fame than #6; #1 has already been identified as the Beach Boys.  :)

Artist #3 COULD be Sandy Denny of Fairport convention...she's the only female vocalist (guest vocalist, for that matter) to appear on a Led Zeppelin album ("Ballad of Evermore"....one of my favorite LZ songs.)

The photo sure looks like it could be Ann Wilson of Heart, tho...but I'll go with Sandy Denny just for the hell of it.

Time for some very generous clues.

The record by the Artist #1 (The Beach Boys, sleuthed earlier) tells of one Beach Boy doing a typical Beach Boys thing (which made it part of this puzzle), as well as some very non-typical things for a Beach Boy, in a place far from where you would expect. Further, the place mentioned in the song is not in the place where the song says it is. But don't blame the Boys for that.

The record by Artist # 3 is tied to a car of the general type of one of the cars pictured  (no make or model is mentioned in the song) , and described in the song as being in a state like that of the pictured car. Though one might think it so, the girl in the picture did not provide the band with their name. And so, you can correctly conclude their name includes that of a woman or girl.

The studio version of record by Artist # 6 mentions a specific model of car; live versions I've found do not. The reason for that will be plain once you find the studio version, which samples another, earlier recording by somebody else. The band derived their name from that car, too, it would seem.

The record by artist #9 mentions an automotive activity that is particularly well-suited to one of the pictured cars. This band was named for a fictional character who was not from the same place as them. And the core of this group were, like their mentor, not from the same place they achieved their modest success as a band. Unlike a lot of the songs in this puzzle, their recording is mellow and melancholy.

The recording by Artist #12 is interrupted by a guy named Tony with a slide-whistle, and goes on to tell the (spoken) tale of Jim, and his recently purchased car and its most important feature. As was sleuthed earlier, this recording was a promotional number for specific car.

Further, the place mentioned in the song is not in the place where the song says it is. But don't blame the Boys for that.

Didn't the Beach Boys record a lot of songs? I trawled through the lyrics of around 350 of them before giving up, only to find that I had a possible answer quite early on, just based on the geographical anomaly. But I was looking for mention of specific cars, and hadn't looked at the pictures carefully enough.

Anyway, I think the link is Artists #1, the Beach Boys, and Song/Car E, the song "Cotton Fields" and the 1956 Mercury, which has a flat tyre.

The relevant lyrics are:

Let me tell you now well got me in a fix
I caught a nail in my tire doing lickety-splits.

The geographical anomaly comes from:

It was back in Louisiana
Just about a mile from Texarkana

- because if you are in Louisiana, you would have to be at least 30 miles away from Texarkana, which straddles the Texas/Arkansas border.

But we don't blame the Beach Boys for that, because they didn't write the song - it was written by Lead Belly (Huddie Ledbetter) in 1940.
