I took a holiday mentions that he drove miles and miles. And it is a slow and melancholic song

Specifically, it says "I hired a motorcar" (Shelby struck a deal with the Hertz Corporation to produce a special line of G.T. 350's for rent that, after their rental-car lives were finished, were returned to Ford, refurbished, and sold to the public as "GT 350-H" models); "it took me miles and miles away".

A sad but pretty slice of schmaltzy pop.

I almost used their song "She Said Ride", which is more up-tempo, but I don't think it has anything to do with cars.  :D

Some fine sleuthing by you, pnegyesi

then maybe song F is about a broken down car?

And I am trying to find clues to singer No12. Did he have any major hits in the 1950s?

F - not abandoned. The car served a purpose in the song.

12: I don't know for sure, but I think he's a bit older. He was part of Jimmy Dorsey's band before striking out on his own in the early 1950's

F: The lyrics seem to suggest an accident happened

Regarding the song about car H. Is it about a Ford Mustang or the pictured special Mustang?

And the song about the car accident. Does the lyrics mention what happened to the car?

H was "I Took a Holiday" (in that the GT 350-H was the rental car version). I assumed you were referring to H, and updated the solutions list yesterday, accordingly.

So, "J" needs to be matched to another artist and song.

F: The lyrics suggest either that the singer was injured in an accident, or the words could be a euphemism for getting either high or inebriated. In either case, the car pictured is appropriate to the title and the lyrics.

No need to be sorry - I concluded you meant car "H" when you found "I Took a Holiday".

Band 13 is from the US.

Clue review

The record by Artist # 3 is tied to a car of the general type of one of the cars pictured  (no make or model is mentioned in the song) , and described in the song as being in a state like that of the pictured car. Though one might think it so, the girl in the picture did not provide the band with their name. And so, you can correctly conclude their name includes that of a woman or girl.

The recording by Artist #12 (he was part of Jimmy Dorsey's band before striking out on his own in the early 1950's) is interrupted by a guy named Tony with a slide-whistle, and goes on to tell the (spoken) tale of Jim, and his recently purchased car (and its most important feature). As was sleuthed earlier, this recording was a promotional number for specific car.

Not as far as I know. This seems to have been from a musical revue, versus a news show.
