An easily reconized car. But what's going on here? Need the ID of the car (make / type), the circumstance under which this picture was taken, the year, & the name of the fella in the hat.

Sure, that's a lot to ask for one point, but if you're an AutoPuzzles member, the car should be easy. :D

1925-26 Packard Club Sedan.  Writing on back of photo indicates, Packard 333, third series six, body type #265.

Picture taken during the filming of the movie "Gold from Weepah", on location in Weepah, Nevada.  Picture also described as, "Taken during gold rush scene".  This probably took place during 1927.

The man in the hat is Bill Cody.

You seem to be finding the answer to some long-unsolved puzzles, as well as this newer one, rather easily. I'd like to make sure you are not ignoring the rule against using Google's search by image feature. Are you?

I wasn't aware of "search by image" until I read about it here, and I've never used it.

I searched for the license plate number in Google.  The first result that wasn't a phone number or about Sony, mentioned 1925-1926 Packard.

Excellent. That's some fancy sleuthing.

Point awarded.
