What is the name given to this topless pickup?  What engine was under the hood?

It is a 1965 El Camino, but as a concept car, it had a particular name.  What is unusual about it having a 396?

I can't read the caption on the one photo I found...there is definitely another name. ??? Still looking...

The 396 was only in L78 Corvettes and Z16 Chevelles in 1965. This car likely shouldn't have one...unless it started life as a Z16 Chevelle. It is the first and only 1965 El Camino with this powerplant.

Avalanche is awarded a point for the complete, correct answer.

Interesting to learn, that only 1 1965 El Camino had a MK IV 396.

The matching boat also had a MK IV 396 on board.

The emblem on the fender should have looked like the attached one (from a 66 El Camino) that says "396" on one side and "Turbo-Jet" on the other.  Interesting puzzle.  I wasn't aware of this car and I've been an El Camino fan for a long time.  I guess ya learn something every day.
