Do you know this car? I don't. I only know its donor. So for that elusive point, I'm asking you to identify the donor and the builder - and offer me some kind of proof.

Maybe this is a repost, but as I don't know the builder, I can't verify

Based on a DKW?

If not a DKW, it's eastern cousin, the Wartburg?

I haven't been able to find anything so I'll guess at a Wartburg 311.

If I'm wrong please unlock.

Well, I gave you a point but I also move this puzzle. The car appeared at a recent meeting of Wartburg 313 Sport cars. I don't know who built it

The Wartburg 313 has an all enveloping body not a cycle-winged one.  The cycle winged body suggests it is an eigenbau which could have been based on any of the Wartburg range -it would take a Wartburg expert to identify which one.  I suggested the 311 as it's the most common of the early pre-Knight cars.

It is listed at several races as a Wartburg SS (992 cc) from 1956, driver is Toni Zeiler.

The owner of this car is looking for more information on this one.

He bought it in Slovakia and put it on a Wartburg 311 chassis

So a point to D-type and another to Wendax and I think I put into the heading what we know
