Lada (Avtovaz) Tarzan II, VAZ 211190 type !
A sort of russian Volvo XC70, based on the 2111 station wagon. It was made with the help of "Lada Konsul", a private engineering company.
It was first shown at the Moscow Motorshow in 1999. It used the body of the 2111, bolted on the chassis of the Chevy Niva !

As far as I know, only prototypes were built.

You are correct!  (If you meant "Lada Niva" instead of "Chevy Niva")

In 1999, I helped an editor from Russia's 5th Wheel Magazine translate some articles into English.  This is one of the cars I helped him describe.  When we were writing the story, either VAZ hadn't announced the official name, or my friend Igor wasn't certain of it.  We referred to it as the VAZ-2111 Tarzan.
