I have a different year and model designation.

It is the only closed limousine body on this chassis...

No, but the year is almost right, at least... ;)

It has been the only closed limousine type body ever built on this chassis.

One extra point goes to anyone who can prove what coachbuilding company has created it.

I can't find any information, indicating that a Maserati was built in 1933 with closed bodywork.  Or even with that style of radiator.

That was my knowledge, too, before I´ve found that photo and its description in the text in a 1956 quality car magazine.

All I can say is that I do trust the given information and I hope it will be identified completly some day.

I didn't notice, but it's also featured in Lewandowski's Maserati book.
Apparently even for biggest Maserati enthusiasts the coachbuilder is still a mystery.

Perhaps he can expand on this before I post my own thoughts on the possible solution?

But after further reading it is being referred to as a sportscar, so may be it is not the one we are looking for. For me it remains a mystery at this moment

Although I have a different source the chassis 3016 may have been built up from the remains of chassis 3007 (dated 2/4/1933 and reported destroyed). Modified/rebodied by Mulliner 1935 although it doesn't state the type of coachwork.
Still a mystery..... :-\

My source is a Maserati book published in 1983.
