OK, I'd guess earlier, rather than later, 1902. Those tubular finned radiators were being phased out by 1904. Also, for the period, it looks like a large and expensive car. Was the company still in business after 1910?

Well, it is a 1904 model according to my source - and yes - they´ve built cars after 1910 and existed some decades longer...

By the way: are you sure you are allowed to place posts in the expert´s section?

I've since found a few 1904 and 1905 cars with that style of radiator.

If I read your answer correctly, the company may have existed for a long time, but not necessarily building cars. I was thinking the car may be a Thornycroft? They were an early user of shaft drive differentials.

LOCKED for you!

It is indeed a 1904 Thornycroft.

I´ve always thought they only had been building trucks until I came across this photo...

Do you have any additional information?

Not really, it was just a guess. I can't find any 1904 Thornycroft photos on the internet. I know in 1904 they made a 10hp twin cylinder and 20hp four cylinder. Going by the length of the bonnet, this might be the 20hp four cylinder.

Not bad for "just a guess".

It is exactly this one!

I can, and they don't look much like this car. Are sure you have the right car, grobmotorix?
