For one point identify the name of the car, what it was often called, what it was based on and an approximate year.

John Barber's Golding-Cooper from 1953.  It is believed to be based on a F2 Cooper-Bristol T20 single seater.  Its styling was  a copy of the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante

I knew I'd posted this car in one of my group puzzles before but thought it was worth posting it again as a stand alone puzzle.
I didn't realise that D-Type had solved it in the group puzzle though...... :D

I didn't realise either!  I knew I had looked for something like this in Doug Nye's Cooper Cars but I thought it was one of the others.

No point for me this time, methinks.

I sometimes post cars that have been part of a group puzzle before as I think they deserve a separate entry.
Almost all I post have a different view.
Of course D-Type keeps his point.

Ah!  The more points I get the sooner I'll reach 200 and all the puzzles I know anything about will be solved before they reach the Pros  :(

The Golding-Cooper.
Commissioned by John Barber, a Billingsgate fish merchant, from Ron Golding of Golding-Lucas Barwell Engineering.  It is believed to have been based on Barber's Mk 1 Cooper-Bristol.
