The Merkur Eilwagen was built from 1928 to 1933 by the Fahrzeugfabrik Hermann Schmidt in Quickborn near Hamburg. It was available with several engines ranging from a 198 cc 6hp engine to a 440 cc Ilo twin with 10 hp. The pictured Eilwagen has a Hamor engine, built by A. Süphke Motorenbau in Hamburg. Early Tempo vans could also be equipped with Hamor engines.
