1951 Eigenbau racer by Gustl Siepers and Fritz Bagge.  If I understand correctly, Siebers crashed the car and died of burns received when the car burst into flames.

This racecar was built by August Sieper from Chemnitz in 1951. It had a Fiat 1100 engine with AFM-like cylinder heads, a BMW 328 front axle and Fiat rear axle. The body used parts of an Auto Union silver arrow.

In 1952 Sieper crashed the puzzle car in Rostock and had serious burns, but didn't die from them. He had a fatal crash in another racecar two years later in April 1954.
