To celebrate my 500th puzzle a nice red car. Unfortunately I don't know much about it, so additional information is welcome and will be rewarded.

For one point, please respond and tell me at least two things about this car: its base and where it is from.

Looking at the wheels, I'd think this has a Panhard (850cc) base.

I don't think so, but as I said befor I know almost nothing about this car.

All needed for the point is the country it comes from.

The dual side pipes and the portholes suggest the worst of American customizing, but the RHD suggest the British Commonwealth (but not the UK).

Some more pictures. The fact that those pictures turned up at a German online auction and that there is a Berlin coat of arms on the bonnet makes me think that it was built by a German emigrant in South West Africa.
