There's a village not far from here called 'Clulas'. Perhaps I should move there! Any road up, the wheels appear to be post-war Lancia Aprilia, so perhaps the base is a type 439. There again, LHD did not feature on Lancia production until 1953. I'll order the furniture wagon tomorrow.

To help out, I will say that there's no Lancia connection that I'm aware of..

It all looks like a Frankenstein job to me;...that back end needs to be a good 14cm lower. Is it a pre-war body on a post-war frame???

This is a Fiat 1500 built in the style of racing etceterini from the 30s... but with poor results.
It was for sale at an auction last year if I remeber... I have to check

No, it's not the same of Bonhams auction in Paris this year, which was by the way a similar car.
The puzzle car is a Fiat 1500 Zagato from 1938, or at least this is what is claimed to be...

This car was for sale at a Coys auction at the Oldtimer GP in 2007.
Chassis number 12941.

In 2016 at TechnoClassica a similar car was for sale... chassis number 12942 (!), said to be a "Zagato-style" body.

All these cars come from the same hands... (not Zagato at all)

EDIT: 12941 and 12942 look like the same car.

That's right, it's actually a 1937 Fiat 1500 6C re-bodied in Zagato style, but I'm not sure when exactly.

OK, so the puzzle car is s/n 12941 by the looks of it, which makes it from 1938 then..
The auctioneer called it 1937 but since when did auctioneers ever get anything right?!

The chassis may be from 1937 or 1938 (it has a plate number so it's possible to find out it for the owner/seller) but I'm 95% sure the body is not from the 30s at all...
