A more contemporary photo.

One point...  Where is the photo taken (country) and why are these vehicles sitting in this dump.
Cheers

No Sir, but you are more or less in the right part of the world.
As a hint, the cars are not damaged.

If it isn't obvious, this cannot be New York after Sandy.  These cars are not Ford Crown Victorias.

Hi Gents:

I am so sorry but I have been having nothing but problems trying to move quiz questions
between threads.

To recap, it is not taxis left over after the Indonesian Tsunami and it is not post Sandy New York.

And yes, it is in the Asian sector of the world.
Cheers

More than 800 scrapped taxis are abandoned in the center of Chongqing

edit
"Thousands of scrapped taxis are abandoned at a yard in the center of Chongqing city on March 4, 2009. Traffic congestion and pollution have worsened dramatically in Chinese cities as the country's long-running economic expansion has allowed increasing numbers of consumers to make big-ticket purchases such as cars."

Screwed it up again!!!!!!!!!    Dammit.

Anyway, yes, scrapped Chinese taxis.

China has advanced from the stone ages to the 21st Century in terms of personal transportation
faster than any country ever.  From Rikshas to tandem bicycles to mopeds to taxis and now to
their own automobiles.  In the last 5 years, China has become the largest automotive market in
the world, overtaking even the United States who have held that title for perhaps 100 years.

Del78 gets the point.
Cheers
