The team is The Hudson Boys.  With driver Don Wilson, their Unblown Fuel Lakester (Class XO FL?) set a record of 211.663 MPH in 2012.

I'm still trying to figure out the engine.

Interesting.  The engine seems to be a 308 C.I. Hudson Twin-H straight-6.

Well, your sleuthing on the motor is quite right.  It's a Hudson straight 8.  And they bumped their own record in the XO/FL class to 211.663 at Speed Week (08/2012)  In the photo, they were running XXO/GL and set a record in that class at 199.798...that was at World Finals (10/2012).  I don't know what they did to get into the XXO class, since that's more often used for Ardun flatheads.  Who knows?  They may have adapted a Buick OHV head to the Hudson motor.  It wouldn't be the first time someone has done something weird like that.

Anyway it's all net from outside the line for a 2-pointer!  Good work!

I knew the Hudson Boys ran some actual Hudson cars, but it took a while to make the connection the streamliner, even with the number 308 on the side.  I was expecting a Chevy or Buick engine.
