As all will be revealed soon, let me offer a quick point to someone who can correctly identify the donor of this one-off. I won't lock the puzzle even if the brand/model have been identified - I'll need make, model, year for a point.

Over the weekend, out of the bue, one of the biggest Hungarian dailies featured a review of my website on Hungarian cars. I don't want to brag, but it's full of praises so I can now say that my site is "critically acclaimed"

No, it is based on a passenger car. Built in 1996-1997, it is based on a much older car

Well the wheels look like Triumph Spitfire Mk 4, but there seems to be a semi-elliptic rear spring so perhaps it's made from various Triumph parts

Nothing to do with Triumph. As it was made in Hungary, you have to think of a donor which was available. Hint: not East European donor
