It's a car based on a design from "Modelist Konstruktor" magazine. The original design was called Muravey-Laureat (Муравей-лауреат). This one is a bit modified in relation to the magazine design but still retained the name Муравей, which can be seen below. It uses engine from Dnepr motorcycle and many parts from ZAZ-965 and SZA cars. I'll add a more detailed description later when I have time to translate it. The constructor (whose name I do not know) built it between 1971 and 1983, it was then regularly used until 1999.
Edit: Full translation and more pics added
This automobile is based on a design published in "Modelist-Konstruktor" magazine, numbers 3 & 5, 1970 in an article "Muravey-Laureat" by E. Molchanov and O. Ivchenko. Construction started in 1971.
Engine is in the rear. Frame made of rectangular steel profiles with a front axle of SZA invalid carriage attached to it and reinforced by additional springs mounted on top of standard shock absorbers. Independent rear suspension is also based on SZA. Dual-circuit hydraulic brakes with pistons from Zaporozhets and self-made pads.Engine from Dnepr MT10-36 motorcycle is connected with transmission from ZAZ-965.
Body is made of 0,5mm metal sheets mounted on a tubular steel frame. Rear window from Zaporozhets is used as the front windshield. Originally the car had a fixed roof and full glazing, but in 1996 the roof was cut off to enable mounting a tarpaulin one. Wheels 5x10 come from an invalid carriage. 12-volt electrics are based on the scheme from Moskvitch-412.
First trip was made in 1983 and between 1984 and 1999 the car was used regularly.
