Do we get a bonus point if we can show we understand the rules?!

The idea was yours, was it not?  ;)

Aha - maybe a bonus point for coming up with the idea then?!

It's not my puzzle  :D

PJ: I don't think precluding further answers after a rules violation is excessively harsh. There are over 150 other Pro puzzles to work on while ones sits on the sidelines watching this one.
I see your point but SACO, Arunas, Pnegyesi and Oguerrerob will be out only because they didn't read the rule...there was no intention to violate it.
I know I'm too soft  ;D

I did read the rules, but I did not take "24 hours" literally. I can't watch time zones and stuff. I'll return to this puzzle later

Ok Pal, but there's no need to calculate time zones or similar, just look at the time written beside your reply and when you want to guess, check the time below the "Personal Messages" script, top left.

Wendax has ID'd the one I was going to post so here's a different one, which I bellieve was half-answered by Arunas earlier:

Book 26 = Car 17 = FES Briton, a VW-based kit car that was later (1988) marketed also as a Kestrel.

It seems working now, 14 puzzlers with correct answers:
3 of you will get at least 4 points,
2 of you will get 3 points,
3 of you will het 2 points  and
6 of you will get 1 point.
11 points still out there...

I'm annoyed, firstly because there are so many books there that I would love to own... and secondly because I totally missed this puzzle. I haven't been too frequent a visitor here for a while, I should know by now that I'll regret not looking at Autopuzzles at least once a day...  :D

Can I make a request? Can you post a list of the remaining unsolved cars please? It's quite annoying having to try and work out which ones are left by process of elimination...
