Wendax has ID's the one I was going to post so here's a different one, which I bellieve was half-answered by Arunas earlier:

Book 26 = Car 17 = FES Briton, a VW-based kit car that was later (1988) marketed also as a Kestrel.

Car#2 - dune buggy with no name, I believe. "Four Wheeler magazine did much to publicise the growing off-road trend". Book #4.

Joao has identified (with a number typo) the last one I knew for sure, so an educated guess:
Book 6 and Car 8, the Kastle Spezial (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=16047.0)

Actually I made it only 6 and now that Car 2 has been identified it's only 5:

8, 9, 11, 18 and 33

In your reply #25 you wrote:  "17 - FES Briton from fabulous #27"
In my reply #39 I warned you: "Book27 was already identified with Car19.
Car17 is correct."
Car#2 - dune buggy with no name, I believe. "Four Wheeler magazine did much to publicise the growing off-road trend". Book #4.
Exactly! Picture from Popular Hot Rodding.

No, you are not.
I wrote it at the beginning:
Here you are 39 books and 38 cars. I took 1 pic from each book but one
and
1 bonus point for the book that will be left out: ONLY IF YOU FIND IT BEFORE THE LAST BUT ONE MATCH

If you guess a wrong match, you can guess again, I won't tell you if the car is right, but everyone can have a go.
It happened 4 times, with Arunas (I told him the guess was not correct and to wait because he broke the rule posting several guesses) with Saco, who corrected himself and now with Joćo and Allemano.
If you do not have the books you will have to guess and there will be no need to wait 24h, then.
