The name behind this car is not obscure (it has several wikipedia pages dedicated in different languages) but may be not familiar in our field...
My source is quite unreliable, but the name given for this car plus the special feature it has got match.

He is mainly known for this invention.

At the same time, he produced a mechanical gear which was supplied with oil via a pump, instead of being splash-lubricated. Also exceptional for the time was the free wheel and automatic synchronization. This led on to production of the so-called “Ljungström car”. The gear’s small dimensions made it possible to build it together with the engine in the car’s front and the car could be manufactured with front wheel drive. The car was built for 8 people, had a wheel base of 290 cm, width and floor-to-roof height of 183 cm. AB Ljungströms Automobiler was founded at the start of 1932. The objective was to exploit Birger’s complete car design. The share capital was SEK 1 million. The subscription lists were in the banking offices and the subscription had just commenced when the Krüger crash in March 1932 put an end to all further operations. However, the car may be regarded as one of Birger’s most brilliant ideas and it was undeniably a seed that many years later would lead to the emergence of the Swedish car industry.
