Name this car and from when it dates, for an easy Rookie point:

ANYONE FOUND GIVING ANSWERS GLEANED BY USING GOOGLE SEARCH BY IMAGE MAY BE BANNED FOR AN INDETERMINATE PERIOD!

That's right; also known as the Glas 1004 or 1704.
I really did think the Rookies would grab this ridiculously easy puzzle!

Here's the unmodified puzzle picture.  I've been trying to find a downloadable rear view but so far without success.  It looks more like a BMW 2002 from the rear!

I've changed the title of this puzzle to what is now known to be correct.
The correct information might not have been available on-line back in 2012...
