I was updating my Coachbuilders database this morning and came across a company I'd never heard of before.
A 1937 Alvis 4.3litre Tourer by Alwil's of Derbyshire. Lo and behold (as one does first thing in the morning!) the next car the dealer has for sale was the puzzle car, a 1951 Alvis TA21 Tourer also bodied by Alwil. What I'm still trying to find out is when Alwil's of Derbyshire were active? 1970s/1980s/1990s or more recently?
Here is another view of the car that is apparently waiting on weather equipment to complete it -

Excellent!
I have to say I didn't know the name of the coachbuilder so that's some extra information; I've never heard of them either..
