It isn't a Maserati...

Seems British to me, might be a Riley

...but it is indeed a Riley!
The website where I found it simply called it a "Riley Special of unknown origin", so really that's all I know about it; I just thought it was rather pretty..!

So I'll call it solved and give you a point!

I suggested Maserati as the radiator grille resembles Witney Straight's 8CM[?] grand prix car.  Could there possibly be a Straight connection?

I really know very little about it, but it was from a dedicated Riley website.
Now that it's solved you'll be able to find it easily using Google Search by Image!
You'll be none the wiser though..
