Isn't this an Alfa Romeo 1900 by Ghia-Aigle? Otherwise it looks very similar ...

That's the right car, yes.
So if you give me its full name and when it was built the point will be yours..
Locked for you of course.

This car should be a 1959 Alfa Romeo 1900 CSS (or SS) Lugano 'Ghia-Aigle' Coupé (chassisnr. #10438).

It's not the Lugano - that's a different car.  But the rest of the name is its correct name..
But it's earlier than 1959.
Have another look!

I've found a few extra pictures on a (I think well known) Ghia-Aigle website, were there is a picture that clearly says 'Ghia-Aigle Lugano' on the front fender. So it's the only 'full' name I have at this moment ...

As far as I can ascertain 'Lugano' refers to where it was built, rather than its name.  Ghia-Aigle had 2 workshops, one in Aigle and one in Lugano..

So as far as I'm concerned you've already given me the full name and all I need now is its date of build?

According to that same Ghia-Aigle website, the date of build is 29-09-1959 and was restored in 1997-1998 ... unless you have another source?

It appears variously on sites as 1956 and 1958, but I believe 1958 to be correct.
Let's move this one and no doubt an expert will straighten us out!

As far as I can see the chassis is from 1956, the bodywork was built in 1957 but the car was first shown in 1959..!
