Austin Seven from 1933

The base car is an Austin 7, yes, although not from 1933.
But that's just the start!  there's a lot more info still required for the point - its full name and who was responsible for the bodywork.
Locked for you for 24 hours to see what you can find since you've got the first part.

A 1929 Austin Seven, bodied by Merlyn Motors and marketed as a Merlyn Coupe, registration number W4768.  Possibly owned by Malcolm Campbell

Indeed so (actually the registration was HW 4768 though!).
I understood Merlyn Motors of Bristol fitted the body in 1934, although I can't find where I got that from.
Since it was based on a 1929 Austin I've awarded you the point anyway.  Well done!

Thanks.

The site I found it on gave the registration as *W4768 and I missed the * at the beginning.

I am not at all sure of the Malcolm Campbell connection, it was only hinted at on another website.
