OK, it sseems some of my info is incorrect and M630 was right.
i had it as an M-20 "Victory-Sport" but maybe that's not an official name.
And the year I had (1948) seems to be too early so 1956 is probably right.
Let's call this one solved!

My source says it's from 1955 and that it was nicknamed "Pregnant Louse".  :D

That is my mistake! You're right, and now when I double check I see you should be right saying it was modified in 1955. also, I told Carnut about 2 rebuilt cars, while that is also under question for me now. The thing is that information about those races and cars in widely accessible sources is not always true for some reason, and when you start digging you may find out some very unexpected things. All in all, sorry Carnut, it was indeed made in 1955, not 1956. Apologies.

P.S. Where did you find out that 'Pregnant Louse' thing? Never heard of it before :P

Oh, but please take note that despite this book is often referred to (and in this case I have been even corrected by it), the part about racing in USSR consists of mistakes - I've seen some picture captures from it and sometimes they had nothing to do with reality. I know nobody is perfect, but he's just too wrong sometimes. I don't know how could that be published  ???

Sad thing, as it could have been a good source for those who can't deal with Cyrillic alphabet.

It's not the Cyrillic alphabet that bothers me, it's the language behind it.  :D
