To be honest I don't know which Maserati it's meant to be a model of (if any) nor its actual scale.

OK, it's open for all to say exactly what it is (no model name or anything and I don't think it's meant to be a replica of any particular full-size Maserati) and when it's from (not 1960).

As a matter of fact I was wrong to say I didn't think it was modelled on any particular full-size Maserati, because it is.  But the right one has not yet been mentioned so I'm going to need that for the point at well!

..but 300S is correct, yes!
I'm away from home at the moment so don't have my files with me, but from memory 1957 isn't quite right.
I'll have to revert on this one next Tuesday.

I'll wait for your answer next Tuesday. If 1957 isn't right and 1956 wasn't right either, it should be 1955 or 1958 as the 300S was produced between 1955 and 1958. That is, assuming that this small car was produced in the same period as the real 300S. So if 1957 isn't right I go for 1958.

Yes, it was made in 1958.
I still don't have enough info the point though!

Yes, it was electric!
And it was built by a coachbuilder, although I wouldn't call them one of the design houses like Bertone.

Given that it was built for a driver's child was it built by Pininfarina?  Or do they rank as a design studio?

Please unlock as although I know a few of the top end 'design house coachbuilders' I don't know any 'artisan' body builders.
