Yes!

Yes to what?

My guess is some sort of home-made kit, based on a X1/9 ?

To your question, which was this!:

Is it one of those two?

My guess is some sort of home-made kit, based on a X1/9 ?

Yes it is.  Any idea where this is from and you've earned another point?

I have NO idea at all !

Was this a bodykit that someone produced (so there's more than one made)? Or is it a 'one-off'? (I hope for the last)

I understand it is a kit, although like many such cars I doubt many were made/sold..

Actually, what do you mean by "What are we looking at here?" What do you want to hear as an 'answer', because you don't know the name either ...

Is it an Italian kit?

It's not always easy to find the right words when you can't really ask for a name..

I want as much information as is actually available on the source;  if you were to find it,  you would find out where it is for sale, what it's based on, what wheels it has, and there is also an indication there of what might be its name but I haven't been able to verify it.

By asking what we're looking at I want to know all that is available out there.

It's not Italian.

You're probably not gonna believe this, but when I search for 'Ebay Fiat X1/9 kit' on Google, you can find another pictures of this 'thing', but the text next to it, makes me none the wiser ...

“PROTOTYPE Fiat X 1 / 9 MAP WITH GREY 1 SINGLE MUSSELS IN WHICH THE POLYESTER BY PROFESSIONAL FOR MANUFACTURE OF EVIDENCE IN CASE OF ACCIDENT PROVIDED WITH RIM GOTTI ELEMENTS IN 3 DEMOUNTABLE NEVER TIRES AND FLOW EXHAUST 4 OUTPUT DECOUVRABLE ROOF 2 PARTIES IN FOCUS 6 ND 4 HEADLIGHTS AND SPARE PARTS MECHANICAL AND BODY PAINTING AND LAID BACK TO TOP THE ACCESSORIES”

Is there something in here that you're looking for?

Maybe I could find some more, but I refuse to use 'Google Image Search', since that takes the fun out of it ... (besides, it not allowed, is it?)

That is indeed what I was looking for.
I don't know that this car is mentioned anywhere else on the 'Net.
The English is somewhat curious; I wondered what the 'MAP' meant; perhaps it's the car's name (initials)?
It's For Sale in France.
All you had to do to solve this puzzle was find this post and you did it; easy eh?!

As far as Google Image Search is concerned: whilst you're not allowed to use it to solve the puzzle, once you've got the car (which you did) there's nothing wrong with using GIS to search for more info about it I suppose; I use it to find as much info as I can about a car before I post a puzzle - but NEVER of course to try to solve a puzzle with it!

I may have 'solved' it, but I'm none the wiser about what this is? Anybody out there that has an idea? Thanks for the point, but I don't feel like I 'deserved' it ...  :-\

Yes, it raises more questions than answers..
Still, you found the source so you get the point!
