For 1 point, what is this car and when was it built?:

Google Search by Image continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Search by Image as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

1972 La Romer

Yes, it's the 1972 Renault-engined Romer built by Bernard Mermet.
I'm surprised this one went so easily as it seems to have had almost no publicity.
Did you see it on desplay at Paris Retromobile?

Here's a front view:

Sorry to have missed that; you should have told me!
I'm sorry to say I don't buy any kit car magazines.
Since I get Autocar, Auto Express, Classic Car Weekly, Evo, Octane, Classic Cars, Classic & Sports Car, Auto Italia, Sprint and 'Ferrari' I don't have a lot of spare time left to live, never mind read kit car mags!!

Man!  Just commuting to/from the mailbox for that many publications would be overwhelming to me!  My hat's off to ya for being able to keep up on 'em.
