Solved - NEH 1828: Rispal Coupe - 1958

Identify this car and approximately when it dates from for 1 point:

Uh, oh. Before I saw your answer to my reply, I found that it is, in fact, NOT a Panhard-based vehicle.

A Raymond Rispal built this based on the Renault 4cv 750cc model 1063. Known as "La barquette Rispal 4CV".

It reminds me of one of those Renault 4CV's by Vernet-Pairard ... but no quite the same. Something to do with the French little car?

My sources say that it was built as a spyder and the hardtop, which is actually from a Renault Dauphine, was added later.

Yes tackitt you are right and my mistake.  I was thinking it was Panhard based but of course it is based on a Renault 4CV.
The barquette has featured here before but not as a coupe.
So well done and you've earned a point.

The Dauphine roof was actually mounted back-to-front and was added for the 1958 Le Mans after new regulations came in following the disastrous 1955 crash.
