Solved: Wendax 538 - Hawaiian Motors Prototype
« on: April 03, 2012, 02:32:32 AM »
There are uncertainties about the history of this one, but at least the manufacturer and the base car are undoubted.

For one point, please respond and identify this car and its base.

It is based on a Cony 360 Light.

In theory, this is the 1969 Hawaiian Motors Prototype.

(I didn't see this when it was first posted.  I found the pictures a while back, and thought about posting them myself)

Well done, that's what it is. An unusual base car for sure.

Another point for you.

Hawaiian Motor Company from Los Angeles planned to import 6 versions of the Aichi Machine Industry Co., producer of the Cony. This one was originally called 'Little Bronco' but for american market they decided to drop the 'Bronco' name and it was going to be called ....'Little Dude'!
