1 point for correctly identifying this car:

Google Search by Image continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Search by Image as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

The suspension front and rear suggests a VW or Porche base, but otherwise no idea.

Not British, but does use British parts..

It does use VW front suspension, although not sure there is anything else VW or Porsche about it.

Never mind. Found it.

"The Andree Special was built by Charles Nerpel from California. It had the honour to be the first home grown car in the US (the second being Harry Morrow) and was completed in 1957. Unusually, the body was made from glass fibre, a new material at the time. The chassis was by multi tubular longerons with hooped sections around the cockpit. Front suspension came from a VW Beetle, hence the wide but low shape while the rear used a swing axle. Engine and gearbox were Triumph."

Well done, yes.
I also have absolutely no idea what having 'the honour to be the first home grown car in the US' means!
