No, it does have an official extra name as far as I've seen.
Strange though that it's not on the official press kit...

You are right: it was called the Punto "Surf".

Those press-kits are usually done in advance (it was a general kit released by Fiat, being the organizer of the styling contest at the Show, and including all the Punto-based prototypes) and sometimes miss some detail decided at the last second...
