Solved - NEH 1640: Rizk Auto RA - 2009
« on: March 07, 2012, 05:47:03 AM »
What's this, by whom, from when - for 1 point?

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Image Search as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

Aston Martin DBR2 from 1957 rebuilt by Rizk Auto in 2009 and powered by a Jaguar 4.2 straight six.

Rizk Auto is right, but it's not from 1957 and is only loosely based on the look of a DBR2.
Jaguar engines are one of the options, as are others.
Have another look and be a little bit more specific about what it is and what it's called (it does have a name..)

Al I have is that it's called "Rizk Auto DBR2" or "RA DBR2" and that they started building it in 2009. They only made 2 of the original DBR2's in 1957, but they raced them between '57 and '59.

Yes, it's the Risk Auto RA (named according to some sites after the Egyptian god Ra although maybe it just stands for Rizk Auto...!)
Built in 2009 as you say, and they are apparently offered with a choice of 6- or 12-cyl Jaguar engines or Corvette LS3 V8s..
1 point for you.
