It would seem the car was originally going to be called Arrinera Venocara but they had a re-think when it was relaunched.
Nearly all websites call it the Arrinera Venocara, but of course once they're up they never get changed.  Later entries do only call it the Arrinera supercar.  I've changed the heading slightly to take this into account, but in the meantime here are a few comments from websites to bear this out:

QUOTE
The first super car from Poland finally actually appear to the public. This car was named Arrinera Venocara. Automotive Arrinera already showing actual shape of the car that will dignify these Polish nation. At first glance, this car does look similar to the Lamborghini Murcielago with a look of sporty and exotic and a touch of flowing lines to support the aerodynamics of this car when speeding. Body was hidden behind a 6.2-liter engine eight-cylinder aka V8 capable of showing bursts of power up to 638 horsepower and peak torque of 604 lb-ft reach. This machine is protected by a lightweight tubular chassis of a mixture of aluminum and carbon fiber which is then wrapped the body of carbon-kevlar material that eventually formed the car. Meanwhile, the legs of this car seconded by a lightweight alloy rims with size of 19 inches in front and 20 inches in the rear which is then combined with ceramic brakes. On the inside, not clear how the specifications will be given Arrinera Automotive for this car. But they’re promising something that is luxurious by combining aluminum and carbon fiber which is then covered with sumptuous leather. Leather lining Automotive Arrinera fast cars is even claimed the same luxury with the leather which is used by the super-premium car manufacturer Maybach. And if no one gets across, the car is scheduled to begin production by 2012 and will be deployed to various countries ranging from Europe, China, the Middle East until the United States.

Here are the first live pics of the Arrinera Venocara to be revealed - Poland’s first supercar. The aggressive vehicle seems to have some design inspiration from Lamborghini, although it has managed to carve out its own identity. The tubular frame and superlight chassis are made from steel and carbon kevlar.
The Venocara engine is a 6.2-litre turbocharged V8 with 640 hp and 820 Nm of torque. The car features 19 to 20-inch wheels and the interior has a handmade influence, with CFRP and aluminium trim and a centrally-mounted screen. It has infra-red capabilities for nighttime driving. The Arrinera Automotive creation will go into production late 2012 and will be sold in Europe, China, the Middle East and North America.

The Arrinera Venocara is the first supercar from the Arrinera Automotive. The car is expected to feature a mid-mounted 6.2-liter V8 engine along with a 4 Eaton superchargers that is capable of producing about 638-hp and a torque of 604-lb/ft. The Arrinera Venocara may also feature a tubular steel chassis and a carbon Kevlar body along with more premium leather upholstery, carbon fiber, and aluminum accents. The car would have a 255/30 R19 for the front wheel and 335/30 R20 for the rear along with ceramic brake discs. It will also have some of the technological features which will be advanced

it is clearly some mistake
firstly this one was announced as Veno Automotive supercar, as it was one of my puzzle, few years back
company changed its name to Arrinera Automotive (with shareholder Veno S.A.) and they never called its creation as a Venocara
those quotes are wrong, I read all interesting infos about this car in polish internet and please be sure there was never this weird name "Venocara" mentioned
above all this car is supercar only by its name
i will send PM to some other polish autopuzzlers to prove You wrong in this matter

I think maybe you're right. There's no reference in the Arrinera webpage to the name Venocara.
And perhaps, the confusion comes with the idea that it's a Car from the Veno Company cars, Veno-car (with a wrong translation) Veno-cara. That's why some pages called it Veno-co. It's my guess.

I don't know what's right and wrong so I must be guided by the Polish experts.
All I know is that there are literally dozens and dozens (if not more) of websites, some which have been up for a year or two, that refer to this car as the Arrinera Venocara.  They must have got that from somewhere?

Google it and you'll see them all.

There are, however, just as many sites that don't mention the Venocara name!

All I know is that there are literally dozens and dozens (if not more) of websites, some which have been up for a year or two, that are writing nonsenses, copy-pasting, rewriting, modifying, retranslating articles and texts of high-quality websites. This is why such bad mistakes and errors happen!!

There are times more sh*t websites than those providing true, unaltered information and facts!

In all official information I have from the manufacturer, there is no such name as Venocara. Veno is OK as it was the name of the initial project. Now it is Arrinera. Even in the official presentation video it is named simply Arrinera. As I am very into correct information and facts, such misinformation irritates me. I completely agree with the facts del78 already gave.

However, no worries, Carnut! Mistakes are allowed when you collect info for 1600+ (!!!!!) puzzles :)

I don't doubt that this car's name is only Arrinera.
But I would like to know where the 'Venocara' bit came from; it's not a word that springs readily to mind!

Yep - there is no and there was no such thing as "Venocara". :hah:

I believe Carscoop was the first site with that "name" and then it went off...

First name of the producer was Veno Automotivie - hence "Veno car", hence "Venocara"?
Current name of the company is Arrinera Automotive. The car itself has sill no proper name, so it's just "Arrinera supercar".

I think there's been enough laughing and pointing in this thread. It's antithetical to the civility many have come to appreciate at AutoPuzzles.

Have some of you never made an error?
