Solved - NEH 1594: CWR Titan
« on: February 23, 2012, 07:32:07 AM »
And we'd better have a red car.  What is it, for 1 point?

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Image Search as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

It's almost a clone of a TVR, although not an 'M' Series.
But, this being AutoPuzzles, it's nothing at all to do with TVR...

That could be a photo of a car I once had.
Oddly enough I was in my car with my family a bit ago in a town many miles away and there was one waiting at lights.  I was just in the process of telling my offspring (not children any more!) that I used to have a Vixen S2 exactly like that when I realised it WAS my old one!  Still around!

CWR Titan. Modernised version of a 60s TVR Tuscan with a GM V8.

That's it, yes.
'CWR' stands for Classic World Racing and they are offering this car which is an update of the TVR Tuscan Wide Body, of which a handful were produced from 1968-70, some years before the M-Series appeared.
The chassis numbers of the Wide Body Tuscans were MAL 001 - 021 but I don't think they actually made 21 of them, more like about 8 I think.

So that's your first point and welcome to AutoPuzzles Sandie!
